About the holiday home

The holiday home offers many amenities on a living area of 90 m² to make your stay as relaxing as possible.


You'll feel right at home in the spacious, open-plan living room with its integrated kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare delicious meals, including a coffee maker, kettle, microwave, stove, dishwasher, refrigerator with freezer compartment, toaster, and more. The large satellite TV in the living area offers a wide variety of channels, but rest assured, you'll hardly ever use it.


From the living room, you can access the first terrace directly via a large sliding door.


The property has two bedrooms. The larger bedroom features a comfortable 1.80 x 2.00 m bed with two high-quality mattresses of different firmness levels (soft/medium-firm). The smaller bedroom is furnished with a comfortable 1.40 x 2.00 m box spring bed.


The bathroom is modern and furnished to a high standard. The stylish vanity area features a built-in hairdryer, and the walk-in shower makes using it a pleasant experience. A toilet is, of course, also provided. A first-aid kit is kept in a wall-mounted cabinet for treating minor injuries immediately.


The reading room offers peace and relaxation on dreary, rainy days. Here you will find a carefully curated selection of literature, allowing you to escape the everyday routine.


From the reading room, you can access the second, covered terrace via a large door.


The property also includes a utility room. You can use the built-in wardrobe with clothes hangers. Furthermore, you will find a washing machine, a tumble dryer, a clothes drying rack, an ironing board, and an iron.


The two terraces, one covered and sheltered from the wind, the other open, are perfect for enjoying the surrounding nature. Sunbathing or summer rain, the rustling of the trees, the babbling of the brook, birdsong, and so much more... The terraces are furnished with a seating area, tables, chairs, and sun loungers.


From the terrace, you can step out into the expansive natural surroundings. On hot days, you can cool off by walking barefoot through the stream. Or simply take a few steps from the property and you'll find yourself on the nearest forest path, ready to embark on an exciting hike through the Thuringian Forest. A badminton set is available in the hallway cupboard; feel free to use it on the adjacent meadow.

Our prices vary depending on the season. For bookings of 3 or more people, we charge a surcharge of €10 per person per night.

Transportation and arrival

The district of Reinhardsbrunn has its own stop on the Thuringian Forest Railway. The Thuringian Forest Railway connects you to DB trains via Gotha Central Station or the South Thuringian Railway in Waltershausen. The stop is about a 15-minute walk from your accommodation.


The A4 motorway can be easily reached via the Waltershausen junction.


As our holiday home is somewhat secluded, a car is recommended if you are unsure where to go. Free parking is available directly at the holiday home.

The Rehblick holiday home is situated in an idyllic group of three other houses on the edge of the forest. There are no other immediate neighbors. Surrounded by trees and a stream, you'll be immersed in nature. A large, spacious meadow borders the property, allowing you to set off on a hike through the beautiful Thuringian Forest right from your doorstep.


The accommodation is located just outside Friedrichroda in the district of Reinhardsbrunn, home to a magnificent and historically significant castle, also known as the cradle of Thuringia. The castle's restoration is in full swing following expropriation proceedings and its transfer to the "Thuringian Castles and Gardens" Foundation.


In the immediate vicinity, you'll find a fish restaurant and a sausage stand serving authentic Thuringian Rostbratwurst. Friedrichroda itself offers everything you need for a comfortable stay. The nearby hospital is also worth mentioning, providing immediate medical care.


The famous Marienglashöhle cave can be reached on foot (https://www.marienglashoehle-friedrichroda.de).


In the neighboring town of Bad Tabarz you'll find the "Tabbs" spa and, since 2022, Germany's most beautiful hiking trail, awarded by "Wandermagazin" (Hiking Magazine). In Bad Tabarz you can also learn about the writer Heinrich Hoffmann and his children's book, Struwwelpeter.
